Studies on the Effect of Excretion of Testosterone and Estrogen with Gold Thread Insertion in Normal Rats

Abstract
In order to study the effect of excretion of testosterone and estrogen with gold thread insertion in normal rats, experiments were conducted by way of gold threads insertion with certain method at the corresponding loci to bilateeral Jog Sam Ri (S 36), Gwan Weon (CV 4) and bilateral Sin su (B 23) of human body. And we inspected the changes according to single locus, combination of loci and reinsertion, and inspected the dislocation of gold threads at the corresponding loci to bilateral Jog Sam Ri (S 36) of human body with X-Ray.
The results were a follows:
1. The testosterone levels in serum were increased in all the first gold thread insertion groups compared with control group, and the levels were most increased at 24 hrs. after gold thread insertion, and in Sin-Su group and combined group the significance was continued until 5 days. (p<0.05, p<0.01).
2. The testoterone levels in serum were increased in all the twice gold thread insertion groups, and in 1, 2, 3 and 5 days the levels were significantly increased (p<0.05, p<0.01, p<0.001) and in combined group the significance was continued until 7 days.
3. The estrogen levels in serum were decreased in all the first gold thread insertion groups compared with control group, and the levels were most decreased at 24 hrs. after gold thread insertion, and in Sin Su group and combined group the significance was continued until 5 days. (p<0.05, p<0.01, p<0.001).
4. The estrogen levels in serum were significantly decreased in all the twice gold thread insertion groups, and in 1, 2, 3 and 5 days the significance was recognized. (p<0.05, p<0.01, p<0.001).
5. The dislocation of gold thread, inserted at the corresponding loci to bilateral Jog Sam Ri of human body, was not almost recognized.
According to the above experiment results, gold thread in sertion to the experimental animals is recognized to be effective on the excretion of testosterone and estrogen in serum levels, and the effectiveness is different from locus and combination of loci, and reinsertion is more effective, it is expected to be clinically helpful. And to the method of insertion, time and the dislocation of gold thread, it is considerated that continuous study is necessary.
